The Lakhey Tibetan Rope incense embodies protection and the removal of negative energies.

It also cleanses our space and restores our sense of strength and security.

The incense is handmade from a special paper and natural incense powders. One rope is lit at a time.

About the Tibetan Rope

Tibetan Rope incense is a traditional incense originating from Tibet and Nepal. There, Buddhists and Hindus have been using it as part of their spiritual practice for centuries.

The Tibetan Rope is made from rice paper cut into thin strips, onto which incense powder is laid before rolling them into a "rope". It is an exceptionally precise and delicate process, carried out by the local village women there.

The rope as incense is used regularly today in temples as an offering to the deities and during meditation. The incense is intended for cleansing one's space and oneself.

Buddhists also believe that incense which burns all the way down teaches and invites us to burn away our negative qualities alongside it, leaving only ash behind. Through this practice, we reveal our true "self".

Today, Tibetan Rope incense is used as an element for deepening presence during meditation and as an element of relaxation. In the company of these beautiful scents, you will undoubtedly step into a new, better world.

Product Properties

  • crafted by the local villagers,
  • one rope burns for approximately 15 minutes.

Instructions for Use

Tibetan Rope incense is, in principle, intended for single use. Light the thin end of the rope slowly using a match or over a candle flame.

Once it has caught well, place the incense in a fireproof bowl and allow it to burn gently and slowly. The entire process takes approximately 15 minutes, depending on the length of the rope.

If you wish to extinguish the rope before it has fully burned, we recommend gently rolling the burning end along the bottom of the bowl until it goes out. The Tibetan Rope will then be ready for reuse.
