How to use a pendulum?

• Before the first use, energetically cleanse the pendulum. You can use incense for this.
• Step away from distractions that may influence your answers. Take a few moments to calm yourself and connect with yourself, the spiritual world, and in turn with the pendulum.
• Hold the end of the pendulum between your thumb and index finger and keep it suspended in the air. You can gently hold your other hand beneath it, but the pendulum itself must remain in the air.
• First, ask the pendulum to show you what "YES" and "NO" look like. Ask it: "Show me YES," and "Show me NO." Observe the movement — YES or NO can be a forward/backward swing, left/right swing, or a clockwise/counterclockwise rotation.
• If you'd like, you can ask the pendulum a few "test" questions to check whether the connection has been established.
• Ask the questions you want answers to. Make sure your questions are ones that can be answered with YES/NO.
• When you're done, thank the pendulum for its help, cleanse it once more, and store it in a safe place.
