Kaukawa is the goddess of cacao in Cusco, embodying abundance, beauty, and joy.
Kaukawa ceremonial cacao is sourced from carefully selected cacao beans of the "Chuncho" variety, originating from the Cusco region of Peru. This variety has been cultivated for over 3,000 years by the Matsigenka people, in the highlands beneath Machu Picchu, between the Andes and the Amazon rainforest.
"Chuncho" is distinguished by floral and citrus notes, nutty tones, a rich intensity of cacao, and a fruity finish.
