Agua de Florida began its journey in 1808. It was introduced in New York, originally intended as a perfume — a "unisex cologne water".

It takes its name from Florida, where legend has it that the fountain of youth once flowed. This is also depicted in the artwork on the packaging.

Shortly after the recipe was created, Florida Water spread to South America, where it was discovered by local shamans.

They soon began incorporating it into their rituals for energetic cleansing, bringing the body into balance, and similar purposes.

Florida Water found a new life from that moment on. Since then, most people use it primarily for spiritual purposes. Among its more prominent devotees are Solange Knowles and Scarlett O'Hara.
